Magic Weather — Apple TV Privacy Policy Effective date: 2026-10-02 This policy covers the native Magic Weather app for Apple TV (tvOS). Magic Weather does not require an app account, show advertising, use analytics SDKs, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. 1. Location and city search With your permission, the app uses Apple TV Location Services to request an approximate location for local weather. You can turn off “Use this Apple TV’s location” in the app or disable location access in Apple TV’s system settings, and add cities manually instead. Coordinates for your current location or a saved city are sent to forecast providers. Searches go to Open-Meteo or Apple’s geocoding service and may include current coordinates for nearby matches. The app does not record a background location history. 2. Weather services and network requests Forecasts use Apple Weather, Open-Meteo, MET Norway / yr.no, or wttr.in, including fallback providers during outages. Globe imagery and layers, radar, lightning, storms, earthquakes, fires, and satellite data come from Magic Weather’s content servers and sources including OpenWeather, Esri, RainViewer, NOAA / NWS / NHC, NASA, USGS, JTWC, and Blitzortung, depending on the view. Content servers receive your IP address and connection details, plus requested coordinates, search terms, tiles, or public feeds. Technical logs may contain these details. Our servers cache weather content for reuse, not as a personal location history. We do not use requests for advertising or personal profiles. Providers handling data for us must use it only to deliver and secure the requested services, with protection consistent with this policy and Apple’s privacy requirements. Our origin server keeps current technical logs until rotation and is configured to expire archived logs after 100 days. External providers apply their own retention rules; Open-Meteo states that request logs are deleted after 90 days. Data stored on your Apple TV Saved cities, preferences, units, tour settings, sound choices, and cached purchase entitlement status stay on your Apple TV. Weather and imagery caches reduce downloads. The app does not upload your saved-city list or preferences to a Magic Weather account. Remove saved cities in the app. The app or tvOS may refresh or remove caches. Deleting the app removes local data but does not cancel an Apple subscription. 4. Purchases and subscriptions Apple handles purchases, subscriptions, and restores through the App Store and StoreKit. The app checks entitlements to unlock paid features. We do not receive payment card details. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account. 5. Support and privacy requests When you contact us, we receive your email, message, and any attachments. We use them to answer your request and retain correspondence as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. For privacy questions or access, correction, or deletion requests, email contact@magic-weather.com. Apple purchase records and external providers’ logs are controlled by those providers. 6. Children’s privacy The app is not directed specifically at children and has no advertising or social profiles. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support. Contact us if a child has provided personal information to us. 7. Changes and contact We will publish changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
